Bantayan island

Bantayan Island is in the Visayan Sea, Philippines, located just west off the northern tip of Cebu Island. The island, politically a part of the Province of Cebu, is about 7 miles (11 km) wide by 10 miles (16 km) long, with a total population of 120,101, as of the 2000 census. It is also the main and largest island of the Bantayan Island Group that is roughly the geographical center of the Philippines.

Vilnius

Vilnius, är Litauens huvudstad och landets största stad med 546 733 invånare. Sedan unionen mellan Polen och Litauen (1385–1795) kom staden att spela en viktig roll även inom den polska kulturen. Budapest is the capital and the largest city of Hungary, the largest in East-Central Europe and the eighth largest in the European Union. It is the country's principal political, cultural, commercial, industrial, and transportation centre, sometimes described as the primate city of Hungary. According to 2011 Census, Budapest had 1.74 million inhabitants.

Angkor Wat, Kambodja

Angkor Wat (ungefär "stadstemplet" på khmer) är det mest berömda templet i ruinstaden Angkor i norra Kambodja. Tempelkomplexet byggdes av kung Suryavarman II (1113-1150) som en hinduistisk helgedom tillägnad guden Vishnu. Under 1300- eller 1400-talet konverterades templet till en theravadabuddhistisk helgedom, vilket det mer eller mindre fortsatt att vara ända tills idag, även om resten av Angkor övergavs under 1500-talet. Området upptogs på Unescos världsarvslista 1992.

The Dinagyang Festival is celebrated every fourth weekend of January to honor the Christianization of the natives and to respect the Holy Child Jesus. On this day, streets of Iloilo City, Philippines, will once again come alive as the Ilonggos celebrate the annual festivity. Held on a Saturday, Kasadyahan (pictured here) is a cultural parade. The presentation is theatrical and in local color.

If Germany has its Oktoberfest, Bangkok has Novemberfest… November is the start of Thailand’s annual beer garden season, where tables and chairs are brought out onto the street and Singha, Heineken, and a welter of other beers are available on tap! A lot of places make a tremendous effort to make this time of year a great experience, with many venues setting up a stage and offering live music (including pop and jazz) and spectacular sound and light shows.
