Picture # 4 - Big bite in Makati

A hungry customer at the Italiannis restaurant in Makati, Philippines grabs a big bite!
Makati may be expensive but it's a very classy part of Manila.

Picture # 8 - Flat tire in Bantayan town

When on Bantayan island I rented a motorbike to tour the island. I went from Santa Fe to Bantayan town and all the way to Madridejos in the north. Wasn´t that interesting to be honest. Many of the towns in Philippines look the same. A small cathedral, boys playing basketball, and then the tricycles followed by black smoke.

However...
The picture above was made in the rather sleepy Bantayan town.
Watch is closely. See the boy texting? The tricycle driver is more or less left to deal with the flat tire alone.

The "trike" is actually stranded outside the cathedral which is the oldest parish in the Visayas and Mindanao. It is even older than the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral and the Basilica del Santo Niño de Cebu.

Kind of like the athmosphere in the picture. What do you think about it?

Picture # 9 - Panjim

This picture was taken on December 19, 2009 in the city of Panjim.
Panjim is the capital of the state of Goa in India. The population is however only 65 000.

I wonder what the gentlemen in the picture are discussing. Probably the content of a SMS.

Picture # 11 - Goa

This photo isn't very interesting after the first glance but watch it closer! On the right you see the Indian fishermen, in the middle in red, a lifeguard. To the left you see the pale tourists and flying high is a bird hoping to snatch a fish or two :-)

Where? Calangute beach, Goa, India.

When you shoot street photos the task is to hit and run - fast but sometimes you are busted. This cyclo driver in Hanoi, Vietnam didn't appreciate to participate...

Picture # 13 - Bored onboard

This boy was bored onboard the "Superferry" travelling from the port of Hagnaya to Santa Fe on Bantayan island in the Philippines.

Quick snap shots can be succesful. The main person didn't even notice the camera. He probably didn't expect to be featured on a Swedish website one day.

Picture # 14 - Santa Fe

Around 2 200 souls live in the small town of Santa Fe on Bantayan island in the Philippines. I didn't expect to attend a small fiesta there - but this is a photo from a parade.

I made this picture in February 2010 in Hanoi. I promised to publish the photo on my blog after arrival in Sweden. Pictured is the photogenique receptionist of the Hanoi capital hotel. It's a great budget hotel in the old quarter of the city.

Picture # 18 - Lenin statue

There is a statue in Hanoi dedicated to Lenin, the founder of the Soviet state. It is located in a triangle-shaped playground on Duong Dien Bien Phu Street, overlooking the Army Museum. When I was there kids where playing football beside this larger than life statue.
